Wafaa ke badle bewafaai

Aisa kyuun hai yaa khuda, ke wafaa ke badle wafaa nahi milti.
seher-o-shaam jo gunaah kare, use kabhi sazaa nahi milti.
Aakhirat mein tu karega insaaf, is baat se hum ghaafil nahi,
magar yeh sab dekhte hue, muskuraane ki humein wajah nahi milti.




ऐसा क्यों है या खुदा,कि वफ़ा के बदले वफ़ा नहीं मिलती ?
सेहेरो-शाम जो गुनाह करे, उसे कभी सज़ा नहीं मिलती ?
आख़िरत में तू करेगा इन्साफ, हम इस बात से ग़ाफ़िल नहीं,
मगर यह सब देखते हुए, मुस्कुराने की हमें वजह नहीं मिलती ।

Why is it O Allah, that loyalty doesn't get loyalty ?
People who sin day and night, why aren't they punished ?
You'll surely do justice on the judgement day, we aren't unaware of that,
Still we're expected to smile. But amidst all this, we don't find a reason to smile.
